Matt began doing SEO around 1999/2000, back when Google was just a baby and you were “hot stuff” if you could figure out how to get a site to rank well in both Lycos and Excite. He’s an independent web marketing consultant based in Tri-Cities, Wash., who’s consulted for companies as big as Target and as small as as a mom and pop selling crafts from their garage (and their web site). Matt helps clients use the Internet to grow their business. That may involve SEO, blogging, Twitter, local search or a variety of other strategies and tactics.

Matt spoke at the first Learn About Web, and is a regular speaker on the Search Marketing Expo, Search Engine Strategies and Small Business Marketing Unleashed conference circuits. He’s the Assigment Editor for SearchEngineLand.com and has two blogs of his own: SmallBusinessSEM.com and HyperlocalBlogger.com.
